You need to be 17 or older with valid government-issued photo ID to get into Senior Week theme parties in Myrtle Beach, and concert events at House of Blues are all ages. That means most graduating seniors can do the full week. Here is exactly what the age rules cover, which IDs work, and how to plan if someone in your group is younger.

Age rules at a glance

Event Age rule
Theme parties (Pardi Gras, Aqua, LIT, Snowfall, Neon Splash, Jersey Night) 17+ with valid government-issued photo ID

Theme parties are open to graduated high school seniors age 17 and up. You can see every party and its date on the theme parties page.

Which IDs are accepted

You need valid government-issued photo ID at every event. Accepted IDs:

  • Driver’s license (including a learner’s permit)
  • State-issued ID
  • U.S. passport or passport card

Do this now: Check that everyone’s ID is valid and not expiring before June. If someone only has a school ID, they need to get a state ID or learner’s permit before the trip.

Why your ID matters twice

Your ID does two jobs during Senior Week.

1. Getting in the door

Theme parties check ID for the 17+ rule every night.

2. Matching your Club Card

Myrtle Beach Club Cards are non-transferable. When you pick up your card, you sign the back of it. At every event, staff check that signature against your photo ID. That keeps things fair for everyone who paid, and it means your card only works for you.

How the door works

Getting in is quick if you are ready. At a theme party, expect staff to check two things: that you are 17+ on a valid government-issued photo ID, and that your Club Card is signed and matches you. Have both out before you reach the front of the line. It keeps the line moving and gets you inside faster.

Before you even get to the door, you need your physical card. Bring your order confirmation (printed or on your phone) when you arrive for Senior Week, then get your card by free delivery in Myrtle Beach or Surfside (call 888-523-9076) or by pickup at Myrtle Beach Tours, 109 Ash St., North Myrtle Beach, on Saturday or Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. More on that on the North Myrtle Beach Senior Week page.

Common ID problems (and how to avoid them)

  • Expired ID. Check the date now. An expired ID may not be accepted.
  • School ID only. Student IDs are not government-issued. Get a state ID or learner’s permit before the trip.
  • Left it in the room. Make “ID, card, phone” your out-the-door checklist.
  • Card not signed. Sign the back of your Club Card when you get it. Staff compare it to your ID.

What if someone in the group is 16?

Theme parties are 17+, so a 16-year-old cannot get into those. They can still enjoy plenty of the week:

  • Concerts at House of Blues are all ages. The 2027 concert nights are Thursday, June 3 and Thursday, June 10, with artists TBA. Follow the Senior Week concerts page.
  • Daytime activities like watersports, rides, and food spots. See the cardholder discounts for local deals.

If your crew includes someone younger, talk about it before you buy cards so nobody gets left at the door.

Where can you stay if you are under 18?

Many rentals have their own age rules, so ask before you book. Myrtle Beach Tours offers affordable housing for ages 17+. To inquire, text them at 843-353-6262 with your name, proposed check-in and check-out dates, group size, and any questions (140-character limit per text).

Planning your week once the age question is settled

Once everyone in your crew is 17+ with a valid ID, the fun part starts: choosing your week and your nights. Weeks 1 and 2 (May 31 – June 4 and June 5 – 11) have the biggest lineups plus a concert night, and the card is $90. Weeks 3 and 4 (June 12 – 18 and June 19 – 25) have three theme parties each, and the card is $70. Compare every night on the event schedule, then have one person order a card for everyone in the same week.

Remember that every card is valid for one person and one week. If a younger friend is joining for concerts and daytime fun only, they do not need a Club Card for the theme parties they cannot attend, but they can still enjoy the beach, the boardwalk, and the all-ages concert night with you.

Info for parents

We get a lot of questions from parents about age and ID rules. The short version: theme parties are 17+ with photo ID checked at the door, cards are tied to one person and one week, and the hotline is 888-523-9076. Everything is laid out on our rules and info for parents page.
