Booking jet skis or parasailing for Senior Week is simple: pick an outfitter on the beach, book online or by phone, and show up early with your group. Two Myrtle Beach Club Card partners make it cheaper too. This guide covers how booking works, what each spot offers, and how to plan around the weather.

How booking works

Most beach outfitters take reservations online and by phone, and some also take walk-ups. On Senior Week afternoons with good weather, morning and midday slots fill first, so book a day or two ahead if your crew has its heart set on a time.

  • Book online: both partners link to online booking from their websites.
  • Book by phone: Downwind Sails lists (843) 448-7245 for 29th Ave S and (843) 236-7245 for 3rd Ave S. New Wave lists 843-361-3322.
  • Walk-up: New Wave says banana boat rides are same-day, first-come, first-served. It recommends booking parasailing online in advance.
  • Big crew? New Wave asks groups of 15 or more to call ahead about group rates.

Parasailing 101

Parasailing is the one everyone posts. You’re harnessed to a canopy behind a boat and lifted over the ocean, then reeled back in.

Downwind Sails lists parasail flights of 8–10 minutes on a trip of 30–45 minutes total, from its oceanfront spots at 2985 S Ocean Blvd and 301 S Ocean Blvd, according to its website. In North Myrtle Beach, New Wave Watersports lets non-flying friends ride along as observers, up to six per boat.

Prices change, so check each outfitter’s site for current rates. Your Club Card takes $5 off at Downwind Sails.

Jet skis: what to know

Downwind Sails offers ocean jet ski rentals and guided ocean tours, listed at its 29th Ave South location only. Jet ski operating rules, such as age and boater-education requirements, are set by South Carolina law and the rental company, so ask when you book and bring your ID.

ID tip: bring your actual government-issued photo ID to the beach in a waterproof pouch. You’ll need it for your theme parties at night anyway.

Banana boats: the crew pick

If you want everyone on the water together and laughing, a banana boat is the move. Downwind Sails lists rides of 12–15 minutes, weather allowing. New Wave’s banana boats run same-day and first-come, and cardholders pay $25 instead of $30.

New Wave says riders must weigh at least 45 pounds, and that free public parking is available on 17th Avenue South.

Plan around the weather

Ocean rides depend on wind and waves, so outfitters can delay or cancel when conditions turn. Build your week with a backup:

  • Book water stuff early in your week so a weather day doesn’t wipe it out.
  • Keep an indoor plan ready. Our rainy day guide has ideas.
  • Check the event schedule so a late morning on the water never collides with a party night.

Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach?

Pick the outfitter that’s closest to where you’re staying, because walking to the beach beats paying for a ride. Downwind Sails has two oceanfront spots in Myrtle Beach (2985 and 301 S Ocean Blvd), and New Wave Watersports is on the beach at 1701 S Ocean Blvd in North Myrtle Beach. If you’re staying north, our North Myrtle Beach Senior Week guide covers parties and card pickup up there.

Want jet skis specifically? Downwind Sails lists them at its 29th Ave South location. Want everyone on one boat for cheap? A New Wave banana boat at the Club Card price is hard to beat.

Booking for a big crew

  • Pick one organizer. One person books, everyone pays them back on an app the same day.
  • Get headcount first. Confirm who’s flying, who’s riding along and who’s staying on the sand before you book.
  • Check boat capacity. New Wave allows up to six observers per boat. Plan your splits around that.
  • Book a morning slot. You’ll have the afternoon free and plenty of time to rest before the night’s party.
  • Bring the card. Each person needs their own Club Card to get the deal.

What to bring

  • Reef-friendly sunscreen, and reapply after you get wet.
  • A swimsuit you can actually move in, plus a cover-up for the walk back.
  • Your phone in a waterproof pouch or lanyard.
  • Water, because the sun on the ocean hits harder than you think.
  • Your ID and your Club Card for the discount.

Save on the water and party free at night. The Myrtle Beach Club Card gets you FREE entry to your week’s theme parties plus 20+ local deals, including both watersports partners.
